Studio reports are designed to open and export. This article walks through the workflow mechanics — how to generate a PDF you can share, and which audiences are appropriate for which reports.
Exporting reports
Any Studio report — single product or portfolio rollup — can be exported as a branded PDF.
To export:
- Open the report you want to share
- Click the Export button
- The PDF downloads to your device
PDFs include WISEcode branding, the report timestamp, and your brand name in the footer.
Sharing reports externally
Different reports are appropriate for different audiences. Quick reference:
- Internal teams — share any report freely. Studio is a strong internal-strategy tool
- Retailer buyers — Portfolio GRAS Report, Portfolio Insights Report, and Product Insights Reports for the products you're pitching. These show your brand's safety and quality story with data
- Investors and board — Portfolio Insights Report (with brand average), Portfolio GRAS Report. Strong for ESG and product-strategy slides
- Press and public marketing — proceed carefully. WISEcode data is directional unless paired with the Non-UPF Verified Shield. For public claims, talk to your account team first to make sure the framing is supportable
- Sustainability and regulatory filings — Portfolio GRAS and Portfolio Insights are designed to support these. The GRAS data is particularly defensible for regulatory contexts
What to put in an external share
A good external-facing Studio share usually includes:
- The relevant report PDF
- A one-line framing statement: "WISEcode portfolio analysis as of [date]"
- Neutral language about competitors — if a competitor's data is included, avoid disparaging framing
- For any public claim ("70% of our portfolio scores above 80"), make sure the underlying data supports the assertion at the time of publication
Common questions
Can I customize the branding on the PDF export? The PDF carries WISEcode branding plus your brand name. Custom branding options may expand in future releases.
Can I share a live link to a Studio report instead of a PDF? Not today. Share via PDF for now.
What happens to old exports when data updates? Exports are snapshots — they reflect the data at the moment of export. If you update a product via the data ingestion chat afterward, your Studio reports refresh, but previously-exported PDFs do not. Re-export if you need the latest data.
Can I schedule reports to refresh automatically? Not yet. You can re-run any report on demand.
Can I filter reports before exporting? Today, reports export as-is. Advanced filtering and saved views aren't available yet.
