What Happens After You Upload: Bulk Review and Fixing Gaps

Uploading a file does not immediately add products to your portfolio. The file is read and checked first, and nothing is added until you have reviewed the results.

The sequence

1. Your file is read and every row is checked.
2. Rows that are complete are imported into your portfolio.
3. Rows with gaps are held in Bulk Review, each one showing the specific field that is missing.
4. You review and confirm the results.

Ingredient matching runs afterwards

Once products are in, ingredient matching runs in the background. Scores appear when that work finishes, so a newly imported product may briefly show without a score.

Fixing gapped rows by re-uploading

You do not need to strip out the rows that already imported. Correct the missing values and upload the file again — rows are matched by UPC, and the existing products are updated with the newly supplied values rather than duplicated.

The usual cause of a gap

An empty cell where the true value is zero. If a product is waiting on, say, Trans Fat, check whether the panel says 0 g and the cell was left blank.
