Product Images in Bulk Upload: Why the Image URL Column Matters

The Image URL column is optional. A row without it still imports, and a product without an image can still be published and can still earn the Non-UPF Shield. It is worth filling in anyway, because the image is how your product appears to shoppers.

What happens without an image

• The product shows a placeholder image in the WISEcode consumer app once published.
• Nothing else is blocked: images are not one of the “What’s missing” conditions, so the product can still reach Ready to publish, be published, and be verified.

Adding images later

You can supply images after the fact by re-uploading the file with the Image URL column populated — rows match on UPC, so existing products are updated in place — or by asking chat to attach an image to a product. If the product is already live, publish the edit for shoppers to see it.
