WISEcode Intelligence is the home for everything brands do with WISEcode: your Portfolio plus three connected modules, AI Chat (new in this release), Library, and Marketplace. This article explains how the pieces fit together and what to do in your first session.
The four surfaces
Everything in WISEcode Intelligence works against the foods in your Portfolio (shown as Product Portfolio in the left navigation). The three modules give you different ways to work with them.
| Surface | What it is for | What you will find there |
|---|---|---|
| AI Chat | “Create or ask something new” | Ask anything about your portfolio, start from a built-in pathway (regulatory, competitive, reformulation, NON-UPF), build dashboards, add or edit products, verify ingredients, publish |
| Portfolio | Where your product work lives | Publishing state, verification state, what is waiting on you, bulk actions, and the + Add button for adding products or uploading a catalog CSV |
| Library | “Access your stuff” | Your dashboards, chats, and saved references — including the Welcome Kit starter dashboards, anything shared by teammates, and anything imported from Marketplace |
| Marketplace | “Discover and import” | Additional dashboards published by WISEcode. Preview on demo data, import a free template, or open a public dashboard view-only |
A simple way to remember it: Chat to create. Library holds mine. Marketplace is where I discover more.
AI Chat: the newest part of WISEcode Intelligence
AI Chat is the newest feature in WISEcode Intelligence, and it is one click away from every surface — Portfolio, Library, Marketplace, and the WISEcode Intelligence home. It is portfolio-aware wherever it opens: it knows your products, your dashboards, and what you are currently looking at. When a question needs more capability, chat expands its toolkit in place. There is no handoff and no navigation to a separate tool.
The WISEcode Intelligence home and pathway cards
The WISEcode Intelligence home opens with six pathway cards. Each is a guided starting point; the card tells you whether it opens a dashboard or a chat.
- Product portfolio (“Open my portfolio”) — opens the Portfolio page, with a summary of Published, Ready to publish, and Needs work counts.
- Portfolio analytics (“Chart my line”) — opens the Portfolio Insights dashboard: your Composite Intelligence Score across Nutrient Quality, Ingredient Quality and Health Outcomes, your processing mix, GRAS coverage and the ingredients driving them.
- Competitive Analysis (“Compare brands”) — opens the My Brand vs. Competitor dashboard, which puts your brand head-to-head with a brand of your choice.
- Verify your NON-UPF products (“Start verification”) — routes you to the NON-UPF verification page if you have products to verify. When nothing is waiting, the card reads “Open my UPF report” and opens your Portfolio UPF Report dashboard.
- Regulatory & compliance (“Read the FDA update”) — opens a regulatory dashboard that screens federal and state food rules against your line, with sub-chips “My line vs. California law,” “My line vs. Texas law” and “What would the GRAS proposal change?”
- Analysis & diagnostics (“Audit a product”) — opens the Product Insights dashboard: pick a product and see why it scores the way it does and what would move it, with sub-chips for “Score a recipe pre-launch,” “Simulate an ingredient swap” and “Best-scoring ingredients.”
Below the cards, suggestion chips give concrete examples of what to ask (“Which of my foods are Super Ultra-Processed?”, “Build a dashboard”, “Write a white paper”, “Create a code”, “How many ingredients have GRAS status?”). Pathways are guidance, not restrictions — chat has its whole toolkit no matter where you start, and you can change direction mid-conversation.
Your first session
- Open your Portfolio. The page opens by asking “Is anything waiting on you?” and shows how many products need work, are ready to publish, or have pending edits. See The Portfolio’s three questions: publishing states and “What’s missing” filters.
- Work through Fix Groups. Products are grouped by next action — confirm ingredient matches, link a GS1 prefix, publish what is ready, start verification. One click into a group opens a bulk flow.
- Publish what is ready. Products live in your private workspace until you publish them. Only published products reach shoppers in the WISEcode app. See Private workspace vs. Live: what Publish means.
- Open your Welcome Kit. Your starter dashboards — Portfolio Insights, Portfolio UPF Report, Product Insights, My Brand vs. Competitor and UPF Framework Comparison — are already in Library. The reports you used before are here too — see Where did my reports go?
- Ask chat. Try “Which of my products are one ingredient away from NON-UPF?” or “Build me a dashboard comparing my line to [competitor].”
What changed in this release
If you used WISEcode Intelligence before October 27, your account updated automatically the first time you signed in after that date. Your portfolio, rejected products, verification statuses, team members, and settings all carried over, and AI Chat, Library, and Marketplace were added alongside them. See the migration FAQ for how your products map to the new states.
