The Product UPF and Portfolio UPF reports from WISEcode Intelligence are now dashboards in WISEcode AI. They sit in your Library as part of the Welcome Kit, open from the pathway cards on the WISEcode AI home, and can be questioned and extended through chat. This article explains the three dashboards that cover your own line and how to act on what they show.
Portfolio Insights (“Chart my line”)
The portfolio-level dashboard. Open it from the Portfolio analytics pathway card or from Library. It shows:
- Your Composite Intelligence Score (0–100) — 15 metrics across three categories: Nutrient Quality, Ingredient Quality and Health Outcomes — with the strongest signals and the largest improvement areas called out.
- Your processing mix, GRAS coverage and the ingredients driving each metric.
It covers the products that have a full ingredient list and a complete Nutrition Facts panel, and tells you how many were left out and why.
Portfolio UPF Report
The UPF view of your line, in Library (and the dashboard the Verify card opens when nothing is waiting to verify). It shows:
- Your Portfolio UPF distribution — what share of your line falls in each tier (Minimal, Light, Moderate, Ultra, Super-Ultra) and what share is Non-UPF.
- The ingredient drivers behind it — which ingredients touch the most products and push them toward UPF.
- Where the highest-leverage fixes are: an ingredient appearing in 20 products is worth far more than 20 different ingredients appearing once.
Product Insights (“Audit a product”)
The product-level dashboard. Open it from the Analysis & diagnostics pathway card and pick a product at the top. It shows why that product scores the way it does — the ingredient processing weights, the sugar penalty, any Unique Ingredient of Concern — and what would move it. Sub-chips on the card surface common asks: “Score a recipe pre-launch,” “Simulate an ingredient swap,” “Best-scoring ingredients.”
Asking chat
Chat reads from whichever dashboard is open and can go further than the chart. Examples:
- “Which of my products are one ingredient away from Non-UPF?”
- “What is driving the score on UPC 0123456789?”
- “If I replace modified starch with native starch across my line, which products change tier?”
- “Build me a dashboard of my products by tier, sorted by sugar penalty.”
Chat tells you plainly what it can and cannot see in the open dashboard — if a chart shows only the first rows, it says so and offers to count across your full catalog.
What to do with the results
- Reformulate — update the ingredient list through chat and publish the edits; dashboards reflect the change immediately.
- Verify — products that score Non-UPF show as Ready to verify once published. See From Portfolio to Shield.
- Benchmark — open the My Brand vs. Competitor dashboard to see how you stack up against another brand.
- Share — dashboards in Library are shared across your organization. To tailor one, ask chat to create your own version.
Common questions
Why is a product classified UPF when I think it should not be? Usually an ingredient on the Unique Ingredients of Concern list, a sugar penalty, or an ingredient list that has not been updated since reformulation. Ask chat to audit the product; it names the exact driver.
Do unpublished products appear in these dashboards? Yes. Anything in your private workspace with a name and an ingredient list is in your analysis.
Does Non-UPF mean healthy? Non-UPF means not ultra-processed. A Non-UPF product can still be high in sodium or sugar — which is why Portfolio Insights scores nutrient quality separately.
Can I export a dashboard? Ask chat to export the dashboard or produce a summary you can share outside WISEcode AI.
